CBT - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Encompasses many evidence-based practices and skills designed around the connections between what we feel, think and do. Can be effective for depression, anxiety, insomnia, grief, and most "why do I keep doing this?" issues.
ACT - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy A type of CBT that builds on acceptance of how things are and who you are, to create lasting, purposeful change. Can be effective for depression, perfectionism, dissatisfaction, injustice and other angst-related issues.
DBT - Dialectical Behavioral Therapy A type of CBT that acknowledges the paradox and complexity of emotions, both within ourselves and with other people. Can be effective for handling your own emotional states, or for improving communication with others at home or at work.
MI - Motivational Interviewing A technique for planning and encouraging change. Can be effective for ambivalence or indecision, including difficulty making change during recovery.
Psychopharmacology
Medication Management Review your currently prescribed medications and get recommendations on possible adjustments or treatments for side effects
Medication Prescription Have your medications prescribed by a psychiatric specialist, or explore your options for starting a psychiatric medication
Requires signed contract agreement Understand how to stay safe and stable while taking psychiatric medication
May require ongoing therapy or lab testing Evidence shows that change and support often best happens with a combination of therapy and medication, and some bloodwork / lab testing is required with certain medications.
